Dieser Mohnzopf ist richtig genial. Er ist einfach und schnell herzustellen und gelingt immer.

Man kann anstatt Mohn auch Sesam, grobes Salz oder z.B. Mandelsplitter zum Bestreuen nehmen. So sieht der Zopf immer wieder anders aus.

Und wenn man dann noch dementsprechend würzt, z.B. mit Zimt und Zucker oder herzhaft mit Schinkenwürfel und Zwiebeln, dann ist auch der Geschmack immer wieder individuell anders.

Zutaten:
500 g Mehl 50 ml Sonnenblumenöl
½ Würfel frische Hefe ½ EL Salz
1 TL Zucker Mehl zum Formen
200 ml lauwarmes Wasser Milch zum Bestreichen
1 Ei 2 EL Mohnsamen

  1. In das Mehl eine Mulde
    drücken, die Hefe hineinkrümeln, den
    Zucker und etwas Wasser dazugeben. Die
    Zutaten in der Vertiefung zum glatten
    Vorteig verrühren und leicht mit Mehl
    bestäuben. Zugedeckt an einem warmen Ort
    etwa 10 Minuten gehen lassen.

  2. Das restliche Wasser mit
    dem Ei , dem Öl und dem Salz verquirlen.
    Zum Vorteig geben und alles zum glatten,
    glänzend - geschmeidigen Teig verkneten.
    Den Teig zugedeckt etwa 30 Minuten gehen
    lassen.

  3. Den Teig noch mal
    durchkneten, in vier gleich große Teile
    schneiden. Jedes Teil zu einer etwa 30 cm
    langen Rolle formen, diese zum dicken Zopf
    flechten und auf ein mit Backpapier
    belegtes Blech setzen. Zugedeckt noch etwa
    40 Minuten gehen lassen.

  4. Den Heißluft-Backofen auf
    ca. 180º C vorheizen.

  5. Den Zopf mit Milch
    bepinseln und mit Mohn bestreuen. Etwa 40
    Minuten backen. Er ist fertig wenn er beim
    Klopfen an der Unterseite hohl klingt.

Das Brot ist einfach nur lecker. :)
