Wir waren gestern in Vegesack zum 80igsten Geburtstag vom ‘Schulschiff Deutschland’, dabei hab ich ein ‘paar’ [so ca. 80] Fotos gemacht. *schmunzel*

Der Großsegler ist im Juni 1927 in der Werft von J.C. Tecklenborg in Geestemünde (Bremerhaven) fertiggestellt worden um dann jeweils 160 junge Männer in drei sehr harten Jahren zu Seeleuten auszubilden. Nachts schliefen diese in Hängematten mit 40 Leuten in einem Raum. *grusel*
Seit ca. 60 Jahren fährt das Vollschiff nicht mehr aktiv zur See, sondern ist seit 1952 eine schwimmende, stationäre Seemannsschule. So weit ich weis lag sie von da an in Bremen in der Nähe der Schlachte.
Der Segler wurde 1995/1996 renoviert und als schwimmendes Denkmal offiziell anerkannt. Danach wurde die ‘Deutschland’ nach Vegesack an die Lesum- Mündung verholt. Jetzt wird sie seit 2003 nur noch als Herberge für Touristen, als Veranstaltungsort und Museum genutzt. Es ist das letzte Schulschiff in Deutschland… ursprünglich wurden 5 Schiffe dieser Art gebaut.
Ich konnte mich zwar mal wieder nicht so recht entscheiden welche Fotos ich hier zeige *lol*, aber dann kam mir unsere zweite Scrap-Challenge bei Photoshopdesign gerade Recht und ich hab diese hier verarbeitet.
Wer das ‘Männlein am Rad’ ist… könnt Ihr Euch sicher denken *lol* und der Schulschiff-Pin in dem Charm oben rechts ist ein echter Pin und hängt an unserer Sammelwand. *g*
